Art That Carries Stories

Between myth and reality

Original works, illustrations, and collectibles by artist Therese Johannessen.

BACK AGAIN

Art that remembers.
Stories that live on.

What happens when heritage, mythology and folklore coexist with our own time? When old stories don't just belong to the past, but continue to evolve with us?

Art springs from this question. Not to recreate the past, but to explore how it might have continued.

Heritage, mythology and the contemporary are interwoven in new narratives. The details are never random – they bring to life worlds that could have existed.

AN APPROACH

Three thoughts behind the art

Stories in new forms

Myths, legends, and heritage live on through new stories and new expressions.

The smallest details mean the most

Light, textures, and small elements are not ornamentation. They are part of the narrative, and reward those who linger a little longer.

The past is not finished

The art explores what old beliefs might have looked like if they had never stopped being part of everyday life.
